Radiofonografo RR126

Founder: Silvia DeCarlo

Santiago Fuentes

The Brionvega RR126, designed by Pier Giacomo and Achille Castiglioni in 1965, was a remarkable innovation at its time. Its modular structure was designed to create either a linear structure for a hi-fi or cubic structure for a radio. The wood enclosures of the central unit and speakers have been made by cabinet makers. The hood protecting the automatic turntable is made of Perspex. The central unit intentionally resembles a robot face.
