C´est un travail sur l´expérience et l´émotion du passager dans une voiture d´un futur proche, dans laquelle le conducteur n´existe plus en tant que tel mais simplement comme passager. Je me suis interrogée sur la manière de se déplacer en 2020. Comment concevoir un habitacle confortable et habitable pour la voiture de demain?

Dans la conception de mon nouvel habitacle sans conducteur, je m´intéresse aux principes de l´habitat pouvant être transposés à l´automobile : le rapport entre l´homme et l´espace tout en intégrant des technologies du quotidien. L´habitacle est un espace de vie que l´on pourrait apparenter à l´habitat. Cet espace est une interface : on peut vivre pendant plusieurs heures de façon autonome, un refuge, un espace où l´on se sent bien. Pour y être à l´aise, il faut que l´espace soit personnalisable : habitable, où l´on peut travailler, communiquer, s´amuser, visionner un film, connecter son ordinateur, lire ou dormir, utiliser sa tablette... Le véhicule devient un « habitat mobile ». Si l´on ne conduit plus, la notion de temps change, le conducteur devient passager, ce lieu crée de nouveaux moments de vie, ce qui implique une réorganisation de l´espace puisqu´il n´a plus le même usage. J´ai tenté de développer une gamme d´objet lié au scénario de vie du séjour. J´ai voulu représenter un exemple de la voiture de demain. Cet univers, bien que mobile, ressemble aux passagers. Il y a une hybridation du registre des objets du quotidien et de ceux liés à l´univers de la voiture. On le voit à travers le traitement des matériaux et des objets, les techniques de coutures, de découpe de cuir... Tous les objets sont mobiles mais contraints en même temps.

L´habitacle devient l´expression du mode de vie de son propriétaire, le prolongement de son espace de vie. Cet espace est protégé et intimiste. Comme dans la maison, il est entouré de parois et est confortable : c´est une voiture à vivre. Mon but est de redonner de la valeur à nos sens les plus utilisés dans l´habitacle : le toucher et la vue. De laisser l´objet prendre une place plus conséquente. De redonner à l´utilisateur une sensation de détente en lui permettant d´exprimer ses besoins. Ce sont les objets qui trainent dans une voiture qui la font vivre, la personnalisent et reflètent son individualité. Cette zone expérimentale est un outil qui me permet d´observer les comportements de l´habitat transposé dans cet espace. La carrosserie de la voiture n´est pas changée puisque j´ai voulu ancrer mon projet dans une réalité concrète. J´imagine les nouveaux usages de l´intérieur de la voiture, puisqu´il n´y a plus de conducteur, il n´a plus besoin d´être vigilant et il devient passager.
