Subodh Gupta - Everything is Inside
& collect
Known as one of the most celebrated contemporary artist hailing from India, Subodh Gupta’s works mirror the current situation in India – a society shaped in good part by the major transformation processes brought about by the rapid economic upswing of the past decades. At the same time, daily life in India is still determined as strongly as ever by traditional values, spirituality and religious belief. Museum für Moderne Kunst in Frankfurt brought Subodh Gupta's solo exhibition "Everything is Inside," originally planned and held last year at the National Gallery of Modern Art in New Delhi, to the European art stage. Here, the artist is trying to communicate the real everyday culture of India in the midst of fast economic changes in the globalized world. Images courtesy: MMK Frankfurt am Main.
