Jacob Jensen (1926 -2015) started as a slaughterhouse apprentice and then an apprentice upholsterer in 1942. Working in his father´s furniture shop he designed beds and chairs. He studied at Danmarks Designskole in the furniture division and then worked for Bernadotte and Bjørn from 1954 to 1959. He worked for Bang & Olufsen from 1965 to 1991, developing the typical B&O design language. Many of Jacob Jensen’s designs for Bang & Olufsen are part of the Design Collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
