In Orbit
"When I look at these complex layers of translucent lines and spheres, I am reminded of models of the universe, representing gravity and planetary bodies. The work visualizes for me the space-time continuum, a three-dimensional web of a spider, the ramifications of matter in the brain, dark matter or the structures of the universe. "

"In orbit" sets proportions in new relations; Human bodies are planets, molecules or social black holes. Saraceno´s three different layers of walkable grid structure appears like a cloud-like landscape. The space is for the artist a vibrating network of relationships, nerves, resonances and synchronous communication - a new digital geography that is physically tangible.

Tomás Saraceno, born in 1973 in Argentina, studied art and architecture. He currently lives and works in Berlin. Among his most recent international exhibitions: "Roof Garden Installation ", Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York (2012); "On spacetime foam" HangarBicocca, Milan (2012-2013); "Cloud Cities", the Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2011-2012).
