Geometric Pentimento
A pentimento is a trace of a previous work in a painting, showing where an artist corrected parts of an image or even completely overpainted it. Here, images are composed by combining fields of plain colors. A fraction of these fields are transparent or semi-transparent. A new composition is generated every second and layered on top, resulting in increasingly dense images which, through their transparent windows, show parts of previous compositions. As these transparent parts are increasingly covered by new layers, the traces of previous processes become invisible, and a new process starts. Watch it at
