Born in Angoulême in 1963, François Azambourg studied at the Institut Lemonnier at Caen and at the College of Applied Art on Rue Olivier de Serres, Paris. His clients include Capellini, Hermès, Domeau & Pérès, Poltrona Frau, Ligne Roset/Cinna and others. He is winner of the Villa Medicis hors les Murs prize in 2003, of the Grand Prix du Design de Paris in 2004, and of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs contest, « Créateur de l’ Année » at the Salon du Meuble-Paris in 2009. Azambourg lives and works in Paris.
