A new exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York presents the results of a very unique collaboration: The collaboration between architect Carlo Scarpa (1906-1978) and Paolo Venini, founder of the venerated Venetian glass workshop Venini Glass in Murano. The two masters worked together for around 15 years and the ancient art of glass blowing was elevated to new heights. Venetian Glass by Carlo Scarpa: The Venini Compay, 1932-1947 is on view at the Metropolitan Museum of Art from November 5th, 2013 to March2nd, 2014. *All works depicted are designed by Carlo Scarpa (1906-1978) for Venini glassworks unless otherwise noted.
