Wasteland is an on-going collection of self-initiated works by Hanno van Zyl, hand drawn using brush and ink and then digitally finished and printed on Hahnemühle Museum Etching 350gsm paper. Hanno van Zyl is an independent designer and illustrator. In his work, Hanno explores the underbelly of everyday South-African life, by examining its details often forgotten by dominant cultural narratives and popular discourse. Hanno is based in Cape Town and works from the collaborative studio space ‘Only Today’.
