Illustrator Stan Galli (1912 - 2009) attended the California School of Fine Arts and was recruited as a staff artist for the Patterson and Hall ad services agency. He worked for True, Country Gentleman, Sports Afield, Saturday Evening Post, Readers Digest, Weyerhaueser Timber, United Airlines, General Motors, Pacific Telephone, Chicago Bridge and Iron, and the Seattle Times. His art hangs in the Pentagon and the Baseball Hall of Fame. His work has been shown at the Smithsonian Institution, the New York Historical Society and the Grand Central Gallery in New York.
