Lighting designer Arnout Meijer was born in Rotterdam in 1988. He studied design at Design Academy Eindhoven, graduating in 2012 with a Bachelor's degree. In addition to his own design work, Meijer worked for Studio Richard Hutten on the interior of the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag.
