Thonet
& collect
Who is not familiar with the famous bistro stools, bentwood rocking chairs or steel-tubed seating of the Bauhaus era? For almost two hundred years, the family-owned firm Thonet continues writing the history of furniture. This spring, the Grassi Museum for Applied Art in Leipzig displays Thonet's modern and post-modern furniture designs from 1945 until today. Images courtesy: Grassi Museum for Applied Art Leipzig.
