The Return of the Herd
& collect
It is that time again - summer has finally ended, and winter is coming. This 16th century painting by Flemish master painter Pieter Brueghel the Elder depicts a typical late autumn scene with farmers taking their cattle to the stables for winter. Dark clouds approach from the right, and the farmers and their cattle move to the left in a wide, barren landscape.
