Carlo Mollino: Tables and Chairs

Carlo Mollino (1905 - 1973) studied art history at the University of Ghent and architecture at the University of Turin. He worked in his father’s engineering firm (Eugenio Mollino) in Torino before completing first building project in Cuneo in 1934. In 1937, he designed the building for Società Ippica Torinese. Among his architectural and interior design works are the the Maison du soleil, Cervinia (1947-55), the RAI auditorium in Torino (1950), a house for L. Cattaneo in Luino (1953), and the Chamber of Commerce building and the Teatro Regio in Torino.
