The project consists of “utopian tableware items” in which a cork element is used on each piece, always with a different function, be it thermic insulation, grip or drop-stopping. I decided to pair cork with white ceramic and blue glass and then zoomed in on three different moments of the day: there are three objects with breakfast in mind, three for aperitifs and appetizers and three for lunch and dinner. Designer Gianluca Gimini is based in Bologna. He also teaches product design at the university of Ferrara (Italy) in the courses of Raffaello Galiotto and Massimo Iosa Ghini.
Help us to keep creativity free, independent, and accessible to all
penccil is the only platform for cutting edge creativity without user tracking.
The penccil community is growing every day. But we need your support to keep penccil independent and free as a safe space for creative people around the world. Every donation, big or small, helps.
Our mission is to make creative expression truly free, independent, and accessible to all, without fees, syndicated ads, cookies and user tracking. Your donation to penccil goes to the costs of servers and maintenance and helps us to develop penccil further.
