Podchain: Blockchain for intelligent transport
& collect
Podchain is a design concept for on-demand autonomous transport. Podchain pods connect on main routes to optimize kinetic energy and disconnect for door-to-door service. There are no fixed routes, as the system permanently updates itself to accomodate traffic requirements. Conventional cars are used only 5% of their lifetime. A Podchain pod can be used up to 90% of its lifetime as it continues to operate as a transport service while you do not use it, thus potentially reducing the total number of vehicles on the road significantly. Each ride is a blockchain transaction, and a business model allowing for fractional ownership brings it into the reach of small businesses. Built as a modular shell system, a Podchain pod can be quickly reconfigured to offer different mobile services. (C) Mario Gagliardi Design 2018.
